CHIROPRACTIC IS EQUILIBRIUM
It is about maintaining the normal neurophysiological and biomechanical equilibrium of your locomotor system, the biological machine. When you maintain equilibrium your body works at maximum adaptability as it should and you feel good. When you lose normal physiological adaptability then begins a slow process of development of degenerative disease. Over time, the accumulation of irritation, inflammation and damage of skeletal articular tissues (arthropathy) and sensitive nerve tissue (neuropathy) determines the onset of symptoms. Once symptoms start, as in any other health problem, it's already tardy.
Gross trauma, recent or past and daily micro trauma (postural deterioration) alter the fundamental balance of the locomotor system: this allows the system to function out of balance, for the skeletal joints it is the equivalent of driving a car "out of alignment". The result is a pernicious pathological process of progressive injury to the soft articular tissues. These articular tissues are the bushings of the skeleton. Daily use in a state of disequilibrium consumes the soft articular tissues developing joint pathology, such as: arthrosis, discopathy, disc protrusions, herniated discs etc. This joint pathology can create symptoms by itself and irritate the spinal nerve tissue (dural sac, spinal cord, cauda equina and spinal nerve roots) causing additional sensory symptoms and motor disorders. Pain, numbness, lack of sensitivity, dizziness and tinnitus are the most common sensory symptoms. Cramps, muscle weakness, tendinitis, strains, trigger points, fibromyalgia, joint pain are the most common movement disorders. These neurophysiological locomotor system failures can occur gradually, with short periods of suffering interspersed with periods of transient recovery, or it can be a painful collapse all at once. A pharmacological treatment can help to temporarily hide the symptoms but it does not resolve the underlying pathology
Chiropractic care is about recognizing and treating the cause of the symptoms. A plan of specific therapy is critical to the recovery of the neurophysiological locomotive lost. Once equilibrium is recovered by chiropractic treatment in the clinic, together with proper awareness and self-management at home, at work and at play, allows the healing process to continue. You will be on the road to recovery and reduce risk of a symptomatic relapse.
It is fundamental work together to solve the problem. We're talking about your health, get involved.
